From guide dogs to petting farms - there is such a wide choice for those who want to learn about animals and maybe have one as a pet. Studies show that individuals who have pets tend to show lower stress during tests. But how does a pet help a person to feel safe, secure, and calmer? We are going to talk just about that in this short and sweet episode.

Do you have a pet? What do you like doing with your big or little pet? Can you suppress a smile and an 'awww' when you see a cute baby animal?

Maybe this is what you need to feel better! But remember: a pet is not an object and it's for life. As long as you are capable of looking after it, giving it love and attention, your pet will be glad to stay very close to you and (depending on the type of animal) enjoy your cuddles, just like the burrowing owl in the photo!
